CERTIFICATE III IN SECURITY OPERATIONS (CPP30411)

The aim of the Certificate III course is to develop a student’s proficiency to the next level in providing operational security services including Crowd Control and Security Guarding duties. The key content of the program includes legislative requirements in relation to the Security Industry, Customer Service, Teamwork, Communication Skills, Risk Management, Reporting security Incidents and Incident Management, Occupational Health and safety, and emergency procedures.

Successful completion of this nationally recognised course will enable participants to work in operational areas of security such as Mine Sites, Cash in Transit, Armed Security, Close Personal Protection, Static Guard, Mobile Patrols, Major Events, Monitoring, Hospitals, Aviation, Casinos, Hotels, and Sporting Events.
The course is presented via a combination of structured tutorials, workshops, case studies, video, practical assignments, first aid and workplace application. Defensive techniques, individual and group work activities and assessment activities are conducted throughout the course.
All trainers and assessors are recognised industry experts, holding relevant experience and training qualifications. They include security industry specialists, former and current serving police officers, and first aid specialists.
Successful completion of Certificate II is required for Certificate III enrolment in addition to sound literacy and numeracy skills which are essential for successful completion and participation.
